injured/sick brain

I picked up an order at Extreme Corals today that included this very pretty brain. However, when I got it home I noticed a large open "sore", for lack of a better word. Now that I know to look for it I see that it was in the picture when I ordered the coral, I just didn't notice. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and if there is anything I can do to help it. I did a lugols dip when I brought it home. Thanks for the help!

If you use a turkey baster to blow out the area gently, the coral can heal on its own. If it packs full of detritus, the coral will simply exist around those pockets of crud.
