Well since it's walking distance I just had to finally stop in, even though my tank is currently in tubs. Not much for size but he does have some nice stuff for
more than reasonable prices. I mean bleading apple scolys for $149 and even was on sale I think for $120, which if I did not have one allready would have scooped up. I got a prism ausie favia like I've never seen, red and yellow and morphing to ?? and for $60 for about 10 heads, and he is holding for me till my tank gets moved. Very nice guy, I hope this shop makes it as he also takes special orders.

So I would stop by if you get a chance.

He helped us set up our tank & fixed the leak from the bulkhead. Did he have his new display tanks in yet? We freaked out last time we went in & they were gone LOL.

North Texas Corals is Freaking awesome!!! i just got this 29g BC.. its been cycling, Jason's been helping me set it up.
He got me some Fiji Pink Sand, Live Fiji Rocks, and a Black Clown fish.. all for a great deal. Also got me some frags of great color zoas.
He's in process of setting up multiple display tank for fish... i can't wait to see the deals he have for the fish!!

Petland Lewisville, 12,000 sq ft store, BIG fish department CLOSED
Pet Boutique in Dallas 10,000 sq ft, 40+ years in business, BIG fish Department, CLOSED
Now Pet O Rama CLOSED

Its a sad trend to see this many big players leave the market.

Can you update Plano Pets listing to reflect the following hours?
M-F 10am-8pm
Sat 10am-7pm
Sun 1pm-5pm (We have been open Sundays for 3 years now!)

Pet o rama could not compete with pets mart that just moved in. We all knew it was a matter of time before pet o rama closed their doors.

Pet Boutique may have closed but in the same spot there's now "Aquarium Boutique". (which is owned by a member here) I need to make a trip back there, he was just getting his saltwater section running last time I was there.

Yes, I can update the LFS page with the current information, but it needs to be accurate. I see there is some debate about Pet Boutique. I also need to know which Petorama is closed, as there were 4 at one time. Once I have the facts, I'll update the page accordingly.

Marc,

Mansfield and Keller are the only ones open anymore. Waxahachie was the most recent to close, and I think Bedford as been out for a while.

As for the debate about the pet boutique, pet boutique is closed, but Yuki bought out a space from pet boutique's old store and has converted it into "The Aquarium Boutique".

Verified yesterday YUKI has opened Aquarium Boutique and has some good prices to boot...
Talked to him yesterday for about an hour and he is still getting everything setup but he IS open..
We should add him to the LFS list...

Today I was searching around and I came across a article from the local newspaper about the new local fish store I use. Check out the article.

Aquarium Boutique has everything you need to support your saltwater tank (Tank, filtration, corals, fish) and if you have freshwater needs he has them too.

I recently bought a new 265 gallon tank and equipment from him. Yuki has been verry helpfull in getting me the rite equipment and the rite vision for my tank.

They're still low on dry-goods and livestocks but prices are pretty much in par with big names like FG or DNA...Yea I'm thinking the same but that location is great tho', lots of traffic through that area.

Yes, been opened for about 2 weeks now but their grand opening isnt til a couple of weeks I believe.

I think the original poster just meant that the newest store in DFW is Aquarium Advantage, not that it was owned by Yuki.

Im going to have to check out the other store. But I bought some clams and large piecies of sps for about 50% less than i found at the larger LFS. Check out AB.
